Archie search: Filename based search for files available by anonymous FTP.
UK Mirror Service: Big archive site with good JANET connections. Mirrors of vast amounts of freely distributable software and documentation.
CPAN (for Perl stuff): The Comprehensive Perl Archive Network.
CTAN (for TeX/LaTeX stuff): The Comprehensive TeX Archive Network.
RFC search and RFC index: Internet "Request for Comments" documents. The HTML index is generated using my rfcindex Perl scrpt.
Risks: Archives of the "Risks Digest" mailing list.
Dilbert: my favorite cartoon strip. See also: User Friendly. I used to look at Helen, Sweetheart of the Internet as well, but that site now requires JavaScript to navigate, so I don't bother anymore.
